Actually this isn't strictly about the ratified wireless N specifications... I just wanna confirm a few things regarding wireless N.

What this thing about dual-band wireless N? From what I read, the dual-band refers to the 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz frequency domains. What about single-band wireless N, 2.4Ghz or 5Ghz?

Anyway, is there a wireless N router that will allow configuration to connect itself either as a wireless bridge or WDS to another wireless N router? If it need to be the same model please specify too. I have not made any purchase yet. Why I need 2 such routers is because I need to support Wake-On-LAN on my computers, which right now as far as I notice, none of the PCI_E or USB wireless adapters support WOL.

Thanks in advance.

Diff market segment demands lor. Dual-band is top-of-line offering, single-band for general users, 1T1R for budget users.

WDS can only support up to WEP. And as you should know, blah blah blah...

It is not true that WDS can only support up to WEP lor. It depends on the model hardware and the firmware implementation.

Well, you just reflected the issues of WDS.

You should implement the multi-AP way most company did.

Well the issues are bearable if one is using compatible products.

Anyway, for the multi-AP, does it mean each AP is connected to each other via cable?

I thought those you mentioned is not WDS but Mesh technology which is technically different from WDS?
