I just switched to SNBB 10Mbps
I did a speed test today and results were extremely bad.

Things to take note:
1) my modem is 2701HGV-E
2) I use a third party microfilter, not the one singnet provided. (could this be causing it?)
3) Seem to be getting DC when there is a phone call?
Need help pls guys. Thanks

Just use singnet microfilter to be safe. Anyway whats the point of keeping it? Not that you can sell it since everyone has it anyway. just use it

1. Make sure all phone sockets that are in use (ie with phone) has a servicable micro filter.
2. Call in DC means that one or more microfilters are not serviceable. Also could mean that house phone wiringing not in good condition. (pick up phone when ADSL line is sync-ed, check to see if got any static in the line).
3. If got static need to one by one troubleshoot. Unplug all microfilters and attach them back one by one and test.

Actually it does matter, there are 2 types. One is Crossed cable and the other type is Straight cable, use the wrong type and it might not work properly. And you might get constant disconnection as happen to a friend once, after she changed the cable, everything works fine!
Not too such from modem/router to computer need which type though.
