Hi all,

Does anyone have bad experience with Airport Extreme?

I seem to be getting really bad wireless routing from the unit. Be it on dual simultaneous band, or using N only or G only, whenever more than one user gets hooked up onto the network, the signal remains strong but the data transfer gets slower and slower till my mobile broadband @ 2MBPS totally outperforms it. (This compared to the main 10MBPS unlimited line)

When only a single user is on the network, the speed is decent (can yield 9MBPS on speedtest). When there are two users or more, sometimes websites just don't even load.

Should I suspect bad wireless routing as the cause of the problem?

-Signal strength is excellent. Even put in a repeater to make sure it's not the root cause.
-Single PC connected on the wireless network works fine.
-Physically connected (by ethernet cable) multiple PCs work fine.
-Wireless N only, Wireless G only and Simultaneous Dual Band all experience the same problem.

BTW physical distance is not more than 5meters for any one comp and no more than a single concrete wall in between. I did notice something though

-When behind the concrete wall, the signal for the computers still remain good but the data rate seems to deteriorate when more users get on. But when only one user is on it's fast. As long as one more user gets on it's gone.

I dunno which is at fault. Exhausted all my means and concluded it's more or less the Airport that screws. Am I right to assume that?

should be a processor or memory bottleneck in the router somewhere .
