dont think got ppl can ans u as those cable tv promotion outside is only for new sign-up customer..

haha... this is where Starhub fails, where new subscribers are given more perks than current subscribers.
recontract should be treated the same way like a new customer, maybe need to remind them that they have already lost EPL..

Exactly. They seem to focus on acquisition only and no retention.. totally no incentives to stay on

i just recently recontract to the home hubbing pack. Starhub just gave me the promo when i requested that.. :s13: Saving $24/mth

I was about to call up to ask if its possible to do recontract of this plan. i thought its only available for new subscriber for tv or cable. If only they have this for their plus plan too.

You can enquire with them, for me is because i am a hub club member, but so long u express that you are interested, they may allow recontract for you.
My old plan was maxonline express plus, now their hubbing bundle is using plus plans already, else why would there be free mobile broadband?

TS may just choose home hubbing pack instead of the home hubbing plus pack, so he wont need to buy the modem and sim card, and if TS is a hub club member, he will still continue to enjoy his hub club discount on top of the month discount. (Which i am enjoying it for 2 mths+ already with the home hubbing pack)
So it will be:
59.92 x 5% discount = $ 56.95 +
8.56 X 10% discount = $ 7.704 (Hubstation) OR $3.85 if use digital setup box
Total monthly for 2 yrs= $64.65 or $60.80
Total for 2 yrs = $1551.60 or $1459.2


FYI: 3 basic groups + 1 chinese add on + digital set up box + foc star movies (6mths) = $19.26+ $4.28(STB) for first 6 mths, $19.26 + $12.84(for star movies) + $4.28 (STB) thereafter.
Don't forget that set-up box (STB) is starhub hidden cost which is never stated in it's subscription price. And CTV starter pack is only available for NEW customers unlike home hubbing pack which they allow recontract under the table.

If based on what u have recommended for 2 years, ($62.50 X 6 mths (With CTV starter pack with MOL 35% discount)) + ($75.34 X 6 mth (With CTV +star movies + MOL 35% discount)) + ($90.32 X12 mth (With normal CTV sub + 35% discounted MOL)) = $1910.88.
Even with hub club discount, you won't get it at $1551.60 for 2 years. :s13:

The savings are still there if everyone were to calculate, even with the same value plan.
Eg, home hubbing pack plus vs CTV + mol plus (Even upfront cost is higher due to mobile modem, overall savings is still higher)
