Hi guys
regarding the above, i'm a noob and bought the above at sim lim...after tat cannot be connected according to starhub, coz wireless G and B is diffrent?
Am i right to conclude tat.
I tot all the same, on the shelf of a handful of SLS shop only got wireless G and wireless N, and gt cheaper no brand 12 bucks wireless usb adapter( dunnoe wat type is it)...i buy the reputable brand in the middle and bought wireless G..
I did ask the shops on the difference, they say N is more "powerful" ( if u stay in bungalow or terrace can get connected), G is for normal home. and the " no brand" one doesnt look convincing for me coz it only sell at indian own shop ( no offence thou)
again, i'm a noob...wats the best course of action?? buy a new one??? but at the shops didnt see at wireless B?? while the wireless G i sell it away...
pls help!
TIA
regards
Eric

do u need faster wireless performance?
if so, get a good G or N router.
G supports up to G only.

Yup, all can connect
so now your router is wireless B?
with the usb adapter attached to to the desktop, search for wireless networks till you find yours.
If cannot find then in the router menu check on broadcast ssid but most of the time windows will detect the wireless automatically in minutes.

i think you can remove the old driver first because the old driver will make the new USB adapter comfused.

unplug wifi adaptor
add/remove programs
find all old bits of your old wifi software installs + the new ones
remove them all
reboot
re install the new software of the new wifi adaptor
