Hello guys. I have some questions i hope can be answered. I've search through the forums; half the time catch no ball.
Ok, here's my situation. I'm a 3mbps user, looking for 3mbps recontract. There's 2 plans currently - $24 (ethernet modem), $27 (2wire router).
1) From what i understand in the forums, the 2wire spoils easily. So would it make sense to save [(27-24)X24] to get my own wireless router instead?
2) I have a wired modem which i use for my desktop. Now that i've got a laptop, i would like to move on to wireless. Do the speeds differ?
3) I understand they have 12 months FREE SingTel Movies Channel (Ch 317). Wise to take up the offer, and cancel within 12 months? I wish to keep my analogue land line though. Will the inclusion of mioTV/2wire integrated modem change this?
4) This is noob, but just to confirm. I believe I can connect both my laptop and desktop to internet at the same time right?
5) Many fellow formers complain of singnet DC. Touchwood, but everything is fine with my adsl wired modem. Will you guys, in any chance, attribute that to the use of the 2wire wireless router and/or mioTV/ mioVoice?
Thanks for your time. Really appreciate.
