My house currently is marked as Starhub Cable Signal Ready, however, I believe the connection has not been done to my unit.
I understand from forums that when the Starhub technicians come, all they do is just go to the riser box outside the house, do some cable switching and wa la, the connection will be up.
Can kind soul advice what exactly did they do, or particularly, how the cable is run? Appreciate that if someone can enlighten me.
If you have a picture of the cabling setup, it would deem even better.
Thanks

that's exactly what I mean.
Cable from outside the house to wall socket maybe connected, but not from Starhub antenna to outside house. I read from forum, starhub technicians will
do this connection from the antenna to the distribution point outside the house once engage them. It's all in a box outside the house riser box

happened to me before, the connection at the riser is not connected even though your home is fully cabled. If you are not subscribing to starhub service, they will usually tell you that they will charge you for checking the connection. I tested the connection using my TV, totally cannot receive any signal. They later send an old uncle down, telling me that coz my cabling not done by starhub so it is not their problem. I told him to check the riser (starhub box). Upon opening, the cable for my unit is cut. ...to keep the story short, I scolded the manager who wants to charge me for their problem.... to answer your question....they screw in the cable at the DP thats all, each unit is allocated to one point. no matter how many points you have in your home, at the DP there is only one point to starhub....
