View Full Version : Suggest mobile broadband
Hey all. Thinking of subscribing to one since I'm on the move quite often.
Looking at M1 and Starhub plan. It seems like M1 is cheaper just the mobile broadband.
Starhub does have bundle at 1 Mbps. But starhub much expensive than M1 for stand-alone.
Anyone using mobile broadband from other providers or the above. Any comments.
Thanks.

Yup M1 has the cheapest mobile broadband... and unlike ST and SH, M1 allows mobile BB to be counted towards multi-line saver discount if you currently have M1 mobile lines.. Which adds up to even greater savings..
M1 mobile broadband is stable and good even during peak hours... As long as you do not load multiple windows/tabs simultaneously..

Can you do a speed test during peak hour? I'm using both Starhub and Singtel, during peak hour, weekdays around 9pm to 12am, I can't even surf net.

quite true...
both sh & m1 already unlimited..
as the biggest operator here, singtel still haven't....
Hope TS dun mind.. on the same topic, I have thought through but still dunno what to choose.
My situation is as follows;
1) Mobile phone = Singtel i-One plus plan 1.5 years contract to go.
2) Got an iphone, needing data on the move. Dun mind carrying 2 phones, one for line, one for data.
3) Home broadband also Singnet, expiring in Feb 2010. Most probably going for Mio to save on telephone fix line charges.
Questions are, should I upgrade now to iFlexi? or simply take up M1 or SH for mobile broadband. And upon completion of my broadband contract, use mio plan to cover my mobile line as well? Will they allow even if I still have contract on my mobile line?
Any advice? Any will be appreciated. Cost is always priority :)

Probably you can get the M1 mobile BB... Port over your mobile line to M1 when contract ends and can enjoy multi-line saver discount for this mobile BB + your mobile line liao (with min 3 m1 lines by combining with frenz or family).. Since only M1 allows additional multi-line discount for mobile BB.. And M1 also gg to offer iPhone too le..
The ST iFlexi has no price cap for data on the iPhone... So not worth it.. You can easily rake up hundreds of dollars of bills..
