Hi, how do I enable IPv6 on my win xp home?

Reason I want to do this is because I'm having trouble updating my Avira antivirus. Update only works at certain times of the day when the server is less crowded.

It seems like only one of Avira's servers is using IPv4, the rest are using IPv6.

From what I've googled, many sites say IPv6 support for Win XP is not enabled by default, its experimental etc.. but they are dated 2002/03.

Is it worth the trouble to enable IPv6 on Win XP home?

WinXP SP3 should have ipv6 support. But Singapore ISPs do not provide ipv6 connectivity. So you'll need to use tunnel it through ipv4. Head on over to http://www.sixxs.net/main/ to find out more.

i jus checked, autoupdate still works tho takes much longer 41min. also update report files lots of entries:
[UPDLIB] [ERROR] Download manager: An error occurred inside the WinINet library.

but ultimately still autoupdating. jus add 1 or 2 extra update jobs then dun worry abt it, i guess...

edit: xpsp3, avira9 free
