Hi All,
Currently on singnet 8Mbps
Was considering re-contracting a MIO plan with singnet. so i juz tried the speedtest.net test for fun.
then i realise the results are quite ****ty.

1.77Mbps download
0.46Mbps upload
Using Thomson ST536 v6 in bridge mode with Belkin F5D8233-4v3 router.
Portforward on cable connection.
you guys figure it's normal or should i get singnet to send a technician?

on 8mbs but...
http://www.speedtest.net/result/595701100.png (http://www.speedtest.net)
my current modem thomson st536 is in bridge mode.
think i'll have problems getting linestats as my router has no page showing the stats.
so what i did was plug in my old speedtouch 511 modem directly, bypassing the router.
Under DSL it's showing this
is this what i should be looking for?
any experts know how to read?

192.168.1.x/24 can ar. hmm.
anyway line technician came. he brought his own 2wire modem.
linestats same. so wat he did was hook up a phone line straight from the main switchbox by-passing the internal wiring in the house.
guess wat, same results! problem with the mains it seems.
he says that the landline team takes weaks to resolve.
so he offered to fix it for me but has to draw additional equipment.
so i have to tell the appt folks that he came but din finish cos i had to go out.
nice chap i muz say.
