hi all, need some help.

i just moved into a new hdb and applied the SH bundle.

got he 8mbps cable modem and bought a dlink wireless g based router 150.

desktop setup, belkin wireless USB adapter.

search through the wifi, couldnt find my DLINK router, had to manually configure USING the belkin utilities and key in username and password. (router is not hidden)

my question is, is it becoz of the belkin adapter that i cant dfind my dlink router connection? using windows XP. my speed test speed was only 1MBPS!! i applied for 8MBPS!!

should i get a wireless LAN card or should i stick to the USB adapter to get connection from my router? does it make a difference? in terms of speed? :(

2 parts:
1) never use belkin utilities before, can disable the software then let windows find wireless
2) go utilities.starhub.com to see what plan your starhub is now, sometimes it take more than 1 working day to config ur modem (unlikely)

The Belkin utility allow you to choose using WCZ as the client for wireless connection, choose WZC if you prefer it to look like any other laptop with wireless capability.
