How to inf dout the correct IP address ? [Archive]

Hi IT pros,

I am going to test a website this coming weekend, and my IP address is needed for the admins to unblock. The thing is, I have got 2 different IP addresses when using different websites to check. How would I know which is the one ? Am using SingNet by the way, thanks.

How about checking the IP address listed in your modem? Some websites report the IP address wrongly due to the transparent proxy server.

Go ask your admins if the site ACL is checking using "HTTP_X_FORWARDED_FOR" or "REMOTE_ADDR" HTTP header lor.
