Hi
Anyone care to share... those who're using Singtel bbOm with their mobile phones to surf sites like facebook... google... etc.
No downloading of videos
No downloading of music
Is 1GB enough?
Thinking of signing up the bbom Plus plan which comes with 1GB cap of free data.

1GB mostly enough if you're into textual messaging nearly all of the time.
I can get by with 1GB comfortably, and I RSS, Tweet, IM, and surf on the go quite a bit.

Yes 1gb may be enough for light surfing on your mobile. But maybe not using the service on laptop.

ya i'm not using it on my laptop... purely for phone only. it's the VAS type not a stand alone bbom.
just wondering what if i stream videos once in a while via youtube will it be data-intensive?

vas type should work with laptop too. Hmm. I think no problem but maybe avoid the HD quality video. Monitor data usage from your phone data counter will help.

Up to now i'm still a little confused over broadband on mobile. It is a totally different plan from the standard mobile voice right?
wouldn't you need to keep changing your sim card when you want to talk and when you want to surf? or is your plan attached to your current mobile voice plan?
I signed up for M1 mobile broadband and i can't attach it to my voice plan.

Yup one is a standalone plan and another is Value Added Service (VAS)..
VAS normally come in 1GB bundle..
