Just checking, my cousin bought a Asus N53 i7-2630QM laptop.

It comes with 2 years warranty, understand that it can be extended to the 3rd year within the 1st 6months.

Kindly advise how to go about doing it?

Thanks.

Greetings ASUS Rep,

My EEEPC 900 is out of warranty.

Cannot boot up, safe to say is the motherboard died.

If change motherboard, roughly how much would it cost?

Regards

Hello tangpx,

Please visit Ban Leong for RMA. Do bring along your receipt.

Thanks!

Dear ABuNeNe,

Do you still remember when you purchase your Asus RT-N12 router?

Hi Asus, I have a P8Z77-M PRO which is unable to POST on startup unless I clear CMOS while PSU is switched off.

I read online that the motherboard has this issue with a number of Corsair and Seasonic PSUs, and there has been no official statement about the issue even though it’s a very common issue (see NewEgg feedback or Google "P8Z77-M pro cmos boot"

Is there a recall or revision fix to this motherboard? I have tried older BIOS and newer BIOS via USB flashback to no avail, as well as different RAM slots, OC settings, re-seating processor and I/O…

I shall bring it to Ban Leong tomorrow afternoon with my PSU. Will get Corbell to replace the Seasonic before I bring it to Ban Leong.

(1) Is Ban Leong the correct distro to bring to, and is the warranty 3 years? Video-Pro printed "1 year warranty" on my receipt, which I assume is a typo error.

(2) If it’s a known defect/recall without any fix, can you arrange with Ban Leong to upgrade it to a Maximus V Gene at a lower cost? Have gone through hell removing and re-installing several PSUs and the water cooling setup, and if I get another mobo with +5VSB issue it’s another sleepless night of debugging (serving NS now, night is for sleep…)
