My 2nd PCIe 16x slot seems to have failed suddenly on my Crossfire (2x Sapphire HD7950 OC) setup. The motherboard is still under it's 5 year TUF warranty.

- I've swapped the card positions and both cards work in the top slot.
- I've also tried dusting the system.
- Switched the 8-pin power cables around
- Tried with either card in the top slot and they work fine.

The card in the bottom slot is not detected by the OS at all. Booting with the monitor plugged into the card in that slot shows the monitor's default "no connection power save" screen.

What is the RMA process for motherboards like?
- Do I just bring down the bare board or can I bring my whole rig down to the service centre to verify the fault?
- Will I be able to get a replacement on the spot or will I be stuck without a system for awhile?
- Are there any warranty cards or whatever that I have to bring down?
- Which service centre should I head to?

Hi,

Don't have to bring any form of warranty card or receipt?
CPU also remove?

If it is faulty, how long will the turnaround be?

Thanks JK! :)

Dear Sectortwo,

receipt and motherboard will do.

You may call them and ask them for the repair timeline.

Best regard,
JK
