BB 9900 and wifi hotspot

Hi forum pals i read somewhere that with an update it is possible to get wifi hotspot on the 9900. I tried by going to devices and searching for an update but it says that its up to the latest update. Any idea what im doing wrong or anything??

Official release on our side is not out yet for 7.1 Im also waiting for the update

i had updated my firmware with the hotspot feature from this link.

Regarding the Blackberry Hotspot. Does it utilize BIS or normal data?

Update your BB to 7.1. If you have signed up for blackberry mobile services from your service provider, you will be able to use hotspot.

For m1 and starhub: bis covers. For singtel: if you have bis only, be prepared pay $5 an mb
