I am sure there is enough bandwith to keep bb and still open a xiaomi subforum?

btw, whats the criteria to shutdown a subforum? lack of activity and posts etc?

Doesnt make sense.. Nokia stop making phones and cease support liao, close is understandable

BlackBerry still releasing its own branded phone with support, why close? What's the explanation especially when BlackBerry releasing new OS update in coming weeks?

I can tell y'all what the biggest problem here is ...

Majority of posts on problems or asking for any other help, the answer is always: send email or BBM. Only some threads like discussing new / upcoming releases are discussed here, everything else is tell people to join BBM group to get your answer. This kinda defeats the purpose of having this folder don't y'all think?

If y'all want this folder to continue, maybe drop the join-BBM-group-if-you-want-help approach?

the truth is many of these issues requires access into *sensitive* data which is better handled off public forums rather than posting it out loud here.

It's a pity that they later get a whole load of generic reply later with delayed help (which is of course more efficiently done on what you call a frustration)

Sure, not all agrees with that but that's the crux of it.

Here we discuss upcoming information,of devices for eg dtek 50,60 etc but that's a long shot because people likes to mix things up ie say mercury discussion in dtek50 or 6 thread as opposed to its proper threads. Is like going to note 7 forums and asking for note 8 information. Same context and somehow, you like to be frustrated when someone tells you that it should be discussed in the right thread.

Like most would agree, the segment here's still quite small, so getting the fastest support is contacting one of us head on on the spot. Afterall, we are giving you free consultation. Last but not least, we are not getting paid to help you with your problem.

Next, sales and more hardware related stuff like the recent thread on phone not booting - again that's more for off-forum then on forum. I'm sure the mods do not appreciate and agree that sales should be kept away from forum here and be in the marketplace. The hardware related help needs a more indepth look than just posting of symptoms online, considering that most steps in the soft related side of troubleshooting is been performed.

The issue here is the mentality that BlackBerry is dead and the lack of discussion (which doesn't help that there's low level of news on them)

Cheers - X and out.
