Is buying the Amazon.com: 2-Year Protection Plan plus Accident Coverage for Kindle Paperwhite, US customers only: Kindle Store encouraged? Anyone has any experience with it?

is it worthwhile just to buy the kindle paperwhite leather case and ship it via CGW?

Amazon's cases, IMO, give the best fit for their Kindles, without adding too much bulk. Speaking from playing with my friend's Kindle Touch. However, it's much cheaper if you buy from taobao or sth.

I like the new leathercase for the paperwhite ...auto off and on feature with the opening of the case..

1. Use a shipping service like comgateway or vpost
2. My friend's Kindle Keyboard 3G works in Singapore
3. If you're just reading books it shouldn't be a problem. Only when you start loading PDF textbooks will it fill up really fast. Normal novels should be no problem at all
4. My other friend who's got a Kindle Touch didn't register with Amazon (he sideloads his books) and TADA no ads at all
5. Yes, you can sideload PDFs
for point 1, it is better to use vpost.. vpost is in Oregon, has no sales tax. If you use comgateway, it will be send to another state, which a sales tax is charged to your kindle..

personally, there is no diff between wifi version and 3g version. my friend has the 3g version which is heavier (just a little), and in all honesty, she rarely uses the 3g..
loving my kindle touch, don't think i will upgrade so soon. 2gb is a little turn off, considering that the old touch has 4gb..

then again, the paperwhite technology is so cool! if you have not gotten a kindle, its time to get one.. and after reading tons of books on the ipad (which my eyes hurts big time due to the backlit), it was such a great relief reading on the kindle.. so yes, kindle ftw!

I won't buy this as I don't think it's necessary as you can just get the cover and it'll do the same thing (protection).
