When I access the chinese books at this site (Project Gutenberg), it gives me something like this (after saying that it is encoded in Big 5):

Calibre is taking a LONG time to convert PDF to MOBI. anyone experiencing that? or am i doing something wrong.

the PDF file is only around 6.9mb, and the job is only 1% completed at 40mins!

I didn't know actually there were free books and stuff. Recently I looked for Kieerkegaard cos seems like an important classic but I wasn't sure I wanted to search/pay for a copy of his books in case it's too cheem or not what I like... Then just chanced upon a full pdf online. I forgot the website but only then I knew

Do they have (legal) free downloads for newer books also? I don't have a kindle or anything. Just for pc
