Hi guys, didn't get any stock in as its not so straight forward for us in Asia pacific to access the amazon store. (I'm using a friend's USA account currently)
Do note that you need a USA credit card or prepaid amazon card linked to your amazon prime account. With that you can buy books in the kindle store, download tons of free books , as well as borrow books. If u figure that out, I would recommend sweetevil who does sprees here  |

I'm intending to get the Kindle Fire myself after researching on it. Seeing it's features, i supposed its one of the best? But i read that the screen is a little small..

I just got 2 sets for myself and my gf. I think the screen size is just nice, personally, I think the iPad is a little too bulky for my liking. 7" is just right for me.
The overall performance and quality is to my liking. I like the sturdy structure and feeling of the device itself, really solid. Feels like I can throw it at someone and it'll still work. Touch sensitivity is really good, comparable to Apple products IMO. For it's price range, even after importing from the US. I got 2 sets, it's still cheaper than 1 iPad. But remember, ultimately, what are you going to use this for? I'm purely using for my downloaded books, so it's a perfect device. If you're going to play games and all, maybe a little more troublesome. |

just got my fire...have a few noob questions, hopefully you guys can help..
1) powering off kindle, with power still attached, however, the LED light also turn off..does this mean that the kindle fire cannot charge when it's turn off? 2) I downloaded a pdf file from my email to kindle fire, but I dunno where it is...looked under books, docs , not there.. 3) I opened a pdf from my dropbox, it works, but I can't save the pdf to my kindle fire...why? 4) how to undo ? eg, after deleting the whole URL, how to undo clear? more questions to come as I explore more..

can you confirm, after you root, can it charge in the power off mode? becos I think this is HW issue.
