Any advise on Jetta and Passat

Hi bro , my dealer got Jetta and Passat left 2-3 years car .. any advise ? I have been driving jap car all along .. isit v problematic ?? Thanks in adv

2 common issues, if it is the 7-spd DSG dry gearbox, there are many horror stories if you Google. The 2nd issue is piston crack which requires engine overhaul to change. Otherwise they are good cars.

Go and Google Volkswagen gear box issues. You will get your answer - should be no less than 15-20 pages

u will find gearbox issues from Ferrari, to Alfa, to Citroen, to almost any conti that uses clutchless manual gearboxes.

Many misunderstand the dry clutch as problematic when it's simply a part tat wears out faster. The wet clutch last longer but also note that it's a more expensive part.

The ECU tat controls the gearshifts can also give way over time. Unfortunately, no one services these parts so when it's gone, time to spend money

Been doing tat for my Alfa last 8 years. Those who can’t accept the inconvenience should stay away

U will have to topup engine oil every time when u go fill up yr tank too!
