Hi All... Just place deposit for the 2nd hand avante today, found the rear antenna rubber seal actually broken.

I did viewed 5 2nd hand Avante, all have similar problem. If i change a new one, i believe very soon this problem will happen again. so I'm wondering can we remove this antenna and cover the hole by something else? Anyone did this?

What are the major service need to do for avante car at 60k mileage?

yep.. my avante antenna rubber also worn off.. i chked with my frd from komoco and was told that i have to change the whole antenna.. i went songyi at veerasamy and bought it at 40-50+ .. cant remember the exact..

best that u dropby workshop to go for a full check on what to change coz we dono if the previous owner did his servicing regularly or nt

avante rear antenna is basically useless, unless u wanna hang kopi there

the actual functional one is on the top left corner of the windscreen (inside), bosch brand

anyway for servicing i always do mine at whitesnail

Google, found that a lot of ppl give positive feedback to Song Yi Auto Parts Trading, selling geninue parts with good price. So It's good to buy parts and bring to mechanic to fix or just drive to workshop? What you guys normally do?

why do u wanna remove n patch the hole? it looks ugly imho

song yi is like hyundai stockist and accessories shop.. heard they have lots of korean aftermarket parts so do check them out.

another shop u can try is vim auto, or mancando

dont go tong lee wee, fking choppers and very pushy sales

the current antenna seal is broken n almost fall off, need to replace. so wondering can cover with something else.
