Do you hold any credit cards? if yes,you should be able to get good rates from banks, juz ask them any special offer on fund transfer.

If no, then check out GE money or bank's cashline facility but the rates won't be too good. Never never borrow from licensed moneylenders.

Scb 1% processing fee for 6months no interest
Thank you!

Last time did borrow form OCBC there is an SGD5 charge every month on top of the 1.88% interest (6th month too). Is it the same for SCB?

Thank you!!!

Regarding the HSBC balance transfer promo, 1.88% pa for 6 months and no processing fee, I was told that the interest charge per month is min. $10. So its like $60 interest for 6 months?

Seems that banks are using min interest to make some profits. I too was faced with such issue.

Was charged min interest of $5 the first month as statement came 2 days after loan approved which is understandable. However,I didn't expect the $5 is added on to my 2nd month interests when my 2nd month statement came since 2nd month interest is already more than $5 and i did paid off more than the min for my first statement.

Guess you must either loan more or make sure banks disbursed to you right after your statement cycle to avoid this min interest trappings.

Is that $5 the 1.88% interest that is charged every month?

Yup, HSBC appears to be the one with lowest interests for balance transfer @1.88%
