It looks like this card no longer offer this. Now, it only states "Simply fill up at any petrol stations in Singapore to enjoy 10X tr’eats Points"

Dang, didn't notice that until you pointed it out... :p Hmmm, time to rework the numbers for petrol spend... :p

EDIT: Quick calculations show that SAFRA + Maybank World MC at Caltex probably offers the best value for miles; 14% upfront discount + 4 miles/$ & Starpoints.

I believe it is a recent change. I have been using the Best Petrol card and still earning 10x points on that last month.

I wonder for existing card holders who have the card, if we will continue to earn 10x points on spend on the BP card.

edit:
just googled and found the previous tnc
http://info.maybank2u.com.sg/pdf/car...ly-pte-ltd.pdf

even the tnc also said they can take out any time

best for now should be caltex+safra+xtrasaver combo.
14%+7%+thank points.

You don't drive car means you save all the time. No need to bother with petrol discount. :)

Called and asked Maybank.

For existing card members, can either use the Shell card from Best Petrol for 15.5% + 10x tr'eats points, or at any petrol station for 10x tr'eats points.

For new card memebers, the Shell card will no longer be offered.

Given that thanks points are worth roughly 1.3%, the Shell card (if you have it) offers comparable discount.

For me, probably will continue to use the Shell card. More straightforward and no need to worry about another set of points.

UOB no longer will have discount for Shell :(

but now HSBC and CitiBank come chut stunt for shell.

Which one should I go for considering I can only go for a basic debit card? NSF here.

Petrol benefits at Shell | HSBC Singapore

Citi Promotions | Petrol Savings | Petrol Discount - Citibank Singapore

Velton 09-06-2013 08:59 PM

i just use dbs esso.. 17% + earn smiles points.

If you have HSBC Premier credit card, HSBC obviously better, as long as you can meet the $600 per month spending.

If not, Citi Dividend is obviously better.

If you cannot get a credit card, all the above means nothing as they apply to credit cards only. Sorry.

You will earn more rebates using Citi Dividend Card.

DBS Esso is 17% + DBS Rewards points (equivalent to 0.4% rebate if redeem Esso vouchers) + Smiles points

Citi Dividend is 18.3% + Smiles points.

Think Citi Dividend is slowly anchoring it's place as the top petrol rebate card (also best card when used with SAFRA card at Caltex). Only SPC left for them to conquer. :)

well... not really the best deal.. if one is able to make full use of xtrasaver.

it is giving 7%.
use it just like how dividend is used.

caltex + safra = 14% +
xtrasaver = 7%
total 21%

thanks points conversion is like 1%++
so total around 22%.

only issue is the max spend limit around $571 a month ($40 or 7%) and minimum $6k monthly average deposit.
