This card marks the beginning of the fall in status for Infinite Visa ( based on income requirement and privileges ). It is the same as how Platinum has become a standard card!

Yup. Same like HSBC. They now have a claw back scheme where if you don't fulfill 5k spending per quarter yet use their services, they'll retrospectively charge you back for the limo/jetquay.

This CIMB visa infinite is to battle for the mid level 5 figure per mth/6 figure per annum market. Sandwiched between the normal cardholders and the real infinite members.

It all lies in the privileges.

I think "complimentary club access to the most luxurious spa in town – Damai Spa & Fitness Facilities at Grand Hyatt" is the best because other VI cards do not have this perks.

I'm trying to decide if this card has good perks.

Is 1% to 2% rebate good compared to other cards that have cash back? I know you can get cash back from SCB and UON One, but that is capped. If you spend $20,000 on hotels a year (just for example) and get 2% back or $400 cash. Is that better or to get 32,000 miles using one of the mileage cards.

Any thoughts?

If $20,000 was for overseas hotels, you would do better than 32K miles. Conservatively, with Premiermiles (there are better promos at the moment), you'd get 40K miles.
But whether you want miles or cash rebates is a purely personal preference.
