I will be going to China to work, but my pay will be inside my Singapore bank account, so will be withdrawing from China atm machine most of the time, therefore would like to ask which credit card is the best for use in China?

Thanks

Hi,

First, I would like to ask how long would you be in China?

Next, my advice is that please do not use a CC to do withdrawals. If you use CC for cash withdrawals, it would be considered as cash advance and interest will be charged immediately.

What you can do is to get an ATM or Debit card linked to your bank account so you can make cash withdrawals overseas without incurring CC charges. All you need to pay is the transaction fee for it. Thus, the best method is to withdraw a large sum at a time, open an account at a China's bank and deposit the money in there. You can withdraw from you China's account as and when you need money and need not worry about carrying large amount of cash with you.

Regards,

I've to agree with ironman, this info is pretty useless.

Who apply a CC based on these charges (besides annual subscription)? And if you already have a particular card, won't it be better to refer to that card website which info is definitely up-to-date?
thanks for the support..... good to let the ts to know....

wat does this means?
Transactions in foreign Currencies: 1.5% of the transaction amount

example i spend 1000 china yuan, hows does the exchange rate been calculated? and must add 1.5%?
This means on top of exchange rate, the bank charge another 1.5% of service charge to the amount.
