Is the 5% discount reflect immediatiely on the bank account, or must wait till month end?

Anyone knows this? And is this a perm feature or just a promotion for limited period?

its written on the website:

The eligible cashback will be credited to your DBS Visa Debit Card the following month. Purchases are directly deducted from your bank account. There arepotential risks of unauthorised signature-based, contactless or card-not-present transactions. Does not look like there are any exclusions now but no one can tell the future.

I'm guessing should not be. Can't do any funny business with pay wave (that I know of)

What if I use another card to withdraw more than 3 times from the same bank account as the Visa Debit card?
Hi everyone,

It's across all your DBS/POSB accounts, so in other words, just don't withdraw more than 3x a month at DBS/POSB ATM or bank branches in order to qualify for the 5% on Visa PayWave transactions with the DBS Visa Debit Card.

T&Cs are here:

Here's a line from the T&C which can help to answer your questions.

The 5% Cashback (“Cashback”) is awarded on DBS Visa Debit Card (“Qualifying Card”) local Visa payWave transactions that also includes in-store payments made by Apple Pay, Samsung Pay and Android Pay provisioned with Qualifying Card (collectively “Contactless Spend”). This is effective from 1 August 2016.

Is it considered a withdrawal from card, the ATU direct deduction from cc? Does this only applies to ATM card?
