exactly and that's how the no-hidden charges by the bank come from.

I used Bank of China's Unionpay card in China, although accepted everywhere, the rate came to be even worse than Maybank VISA card. Think at least they charged 1.5% of hidden conversion fee.

I think they will bill in RMB if it is CNY transactions.

CASH PAYMENT
Cash payments should be made over counter at 6 Raffles Quay #01-01 with your identification and credit card no. You can choose Repayment of credit card RMB account debts using RMB, Repayment of credit card SGD account debts using SGD, or Repayment of credit card RMB account debts using SGD by purchasing RMB. The exchange rate will take the market exchange rate on the payment day.

To learn the exchange rate, you could call the 24-hour hotline (65-63695588).

http://www.icbc.com.sg/personal/Introduction of Dual Currency Credit Card.pdf

Features
* Tailored and unique design featuring dual currency accounts
Apart from the basic functions of overdraft, spending and transfer, the product also features dual currency accounts in RMB and SGD for cardholders’ convenience when travelling to and from China. Cardholders can spend money in RMB on the Chinese Mainland and SGD in Singapore and the rest of the world. As a result, cardholders can easily make settlements in RMB for the spending in Mainland China without worrying about the exchange fees.

* Two accounts with one shared credit limit for carefree spending
There is a shared credit limit for the two accounts, which means cardholders can spend as much as they like within that shared limit, either in RMB or SGD.

So in the end you still need to change S$ to RMB to pay unless you have ready RMB on hand.

I just got a call from them to verify that I have signed on the original copy of the application form. When I asked how long it will take, she replied that it will take about 15 days from now. Another long wait...

They called me up via my office number and requested
1) A person name and contact number for reference
2) Confirm if i was the one who signed on the application form.
I asked why, she explained that the form was by postal mail and just needed a confirmation that i did apply for the card.
A bit more cautious and i feel its is good to have it done this way.

And yes, she told me 10~15 working days to process the card application.:s22:

Nice. That means that you should be getting it today in your mailbox. When did you apply for the card?

Anything detail information on the free air tic with biz or first class booked on Air China? The website was not too specific on this.
Beside the free lounge access in China, are there any other special privileages of promotion for this card? Care to shed some light?

Is it possible to pay from a China bank account instead of RMB in cash here?
