What Makes a Young Champion? 2010 (Singapore) is a youth-oriented forum that will take place on 7 & 8 August 2010, the weekend before the inaugural Youth Olympic Games in Singapore. The forum encourages youths to discover and explore the various aspects of championship in new and different ways. Jointly organised by the National University of Singapore (NUS) and the Centre of the Mind at the University of Sydney, the forum will feature selected young champions who have made a difference in their own unique ways.

Young Designer Awards 2010

The Heeren presents the Young Designer Awards (YDA) 2010 - the search for the next front runner in design and the fashion industry!

YDA is back for the 2nd year running in a 3 weekd long competition happening at the Heeren Shops.

Fridays 27 August, 3rd Sept and 10 Sept (Flea Market)

Saturdays 28 August, 4 Sept and 11 Sept (Grand Finals)

Open to all students in Singapore, each 4-member group must go through sounds that will be carried out in this format:

Contestants will be judge on various challenges that will test their fashion savvy-ness, their ability to spot and emulate trends as well as their ability to sketch creative and trendy looks.



On top of that, a Flea Market Festival will be held at the outdoors of The Heeren (area in front of Spinelli's) on 10 September from 5pm to 10pm. Semifinalists will be given the opportunity to display their very own creations and sell to the public.



Top teams stand to win up to $1000 worth of Heeren Shops vouchers.
