Retail price is $529. Some shops should be selling less than $500. if not urgent can hold on for a short while. Sony is going to launch DSC-HX90V this month in Singapore.

Thanks for sharing this, the HX60V seems good 90 should be even better. I am looking for a travel camera, hope the newer version fits my budget.

rx100 II got bigger sensor so picture quality will be much better. HX90V is unless u need the zoom.
How does bigger sensor equate better picture quality?

in general, bigger sensor performs better in low light, more detail etc. Ever took photo of the moon with p&s camera and the outline on the moon is not as refine as those with bigger sensor.

add on: am not an expert in camera stuffs. Just prefer a pocket zoom camera for casual shooting and traveling use.
How does bigger sensor equate better picture quality?
