Cos by buying vouchers from the issuer at a discount, they can give you a face value of $80-100 but they only need to spend like 50-80% of cash to buy the vouchers. If they deposit cash, they have to pay out 100%. Those resources are probably done by NSFs and low rank staff while ministers just shake legs and make people think they are very generous for approving this.

Anyway, all don't be so happy. The govt just treating you like dogs. Giving you puppy treats just to keep you obedient. Think about the 2 years plus where you forgo earnings and also the opportunity cost of not being in the workforce early while females and foreigners are able to translate that time to work experience and promotion. Also, the bias from employers and prospective employers because they essentially see you as disruptive because of your reservist obligations.

Anyone who thinks that $80-100 and 1 year membership in exchange for the above disadvantage is worth it is not in the right state of mind. For $80, I think all of us should throw it back to the govt and tell them not to bother us.

Can I exchange for 1 exemption from 1 ICT or IPPT. To pay me $30/day for ICT is really a joke
