I beg to differ.

The only difference is the dichotomous approach that the PAP takes in dealing with the same issues.

Should there be a moral yardstick that varies just so in accordance with someone's political affiliations? I certainly think not. Why should one judge MP any differently from YSL?

The only difference here is character assassination.

the differences are:

1. YSL is not as polished as MP.

2. MP and PAP learnt from YSL's mistakes and realised that the best way to deal with this is before all the whispers get too loud. just deal with it squarely in the face, hoping that they will look better than WP.

YSL does seem cowardly by leaving without a word, not even to his mentor.
