Veracrypt hidden partition with the keyfiles stored in a NetBSD virtual machine that exists only on a RAMdisk. The keyfile repository is rigged to disappear if power is ever lost or certain scripts are executed on the host machine. I keep a backup of the keyfile with a trusted overseas associate in case the file is ever lost for whatever reason. It is useless without a password in the same way the password is useless without it for unlocking the containers holding my deepest darkest secrets.

Does that mean you can never power off the machine ?

Your associate holds the key to your darkest secret ?

So secret until you must use a key file ? Cannot use password ?

Keyfile is used in combination with password.
That is to avoid bruteforce with password only
Question about RAMdisk cannot power off is legit though.

Sounds like a perfect setup, except for the RAMdisk portion.

no lah lol. present ramdisk software has a backup. everytime u switch off reboot, they will load the image to ur designated location.

i am running on 20gb ramdisk, no problem switching off or rebooting. only thing ish loading image takes another ~25secs extra during bootup.

and the ramdisk image can only be read with the ramdisk software.

Don't lame lah RAMdump can easily extracted and read only encrypted stuff can prevent reads everything else is structured data

Setup a VM, encrypt it, then store all your stuffs in it. When need to access, then fire up that VM. Either access directly from the VM or from the pc via shared drives.

Most wife only know how to do basic access, Facebook and video stream. Just complicate it a little, they will be lost.
