Actually the Aussie is just giving her the Hard truths.
There was an apology and explanation that it wasn't meant as sexism. But a statement of fact due to industry experience.

As a presenter you can't take it, post the private matter online and expect people to take you seriously for not getting personal on issues that you need to present on national TV?

**** lah

CNA just caters to good looking people. that's essential to the nature of the business. you either are damn knowledgeable, good looking, or have been to wars and **** reporting, then are you will you be given the chance.

look at Larry King, Christiane Amanpour, Anderson Cooper, they're all not good looking but i sure as heck respect them as News personalities.

I think park has a valid point. It is a distasteful joke and definitely not a singapore culture. U meant singaporeans joke about breasts in workplace?

Walao you all damn stuupig leh support the Aussie FT. He trying to say Singapore very biased and all and you all support.

Of course sg not purely meritocratic lah, but if you support him means you all don't want sg to be more meritocratic... Later end up like South Korea or what become very patriarchal and superficial.

No wonder SG a lot of 70%.... Lan lan suck thumb kind of peepur...

Sorry but looking at her posts, I have the feeling that she is an indoctrinated brainwashed feminist who's been taught that everything is "sexism".

I don't condone and don't agree with any bullying, sexism, oppression, or anything like that.

However, jokes like tingling the hand, for example, it is very hard for me to understand or agree with her that it was an example of "sexism".

I mean there is a line between good-natured jokes and bullying, and this line should not be crossed, but people who've been indoctrinated and brainwashed might have a very different line compared to normal people.

It's hard for me to agree with her or sympathize with her since I get the feeling that she's one of those exaggerated people with unusual line, because she's been indoctrinated.

I feel that those actions such as tickling the palms of a female colleague is unprofessional and offensive.

I think it is damaging to her career to bring the matter of sexual harassment in her workplace on to social media. The employer would prefer her to bring the matter to the HR first, before posting it to the public. Worse still, the saga will stay in the internet. Her future employer, learning about history, might take into consideration the risk of public embarrassment the company might get into if the history repeat itself.
Damaging or not does shouldn't curb a person's freedom of speech.

Besides she's an adult working in the media industry so she of all people should know if there would be any repercussions to any of her post.
