need to ban 2.4km or ippt
don't understand how they come up with 2.4km and the passing time.

i saw many amdk and chiobu walking in the gym and they still look so fit

actually no need to run. walking is enough liao. walk 400m burn 18 calories ,run 400m burn 30calories. difference only 12 calories. why push yourself? you can compensate by walking longer distance.

i know many chao sinkies like to chiongg cause kena brainwashed by SAF. SAF occifer always like to ask people to chiong, simi mind over body bullcrap. You exercise to keep fit , not to serve saf to defend FT
Walking is 2x slower. Also need to cover 2x distance to burn equal amount of calories.

This means a 1h 10km run becomes a 4h+ 20km walk.

Running is thus more efficient to burn calories.

But i agree with you on not pushing our body to the limit especially as we grow older and pushing past our prime.

Good alternatives are swimming and cycling

jogging and running is the dumbest activity to keep fit ever. wear out your knee caps and joints. only stupid idiots jog or run to keep fit. best activity to keep fit is swimming.

when you're older, maybe have high blood pressure, high cholesterol, don't anyhow run.
check with your doctor first.
a poor health and sudden exertion can be fatal.

young men can chiong hill, chiong mountain, no problem, but not older men.

swimming burns the most calories for exercising the same distance. your body will burn extra calories to keep warm while in contact with the cool water.

near SICC is not a jogging path

that is a nature walk path. the path is very uneven and not suitable for jogging.

the distance is 2.4 because it's used to test Aerobic fitness. Aerobic fitness is where your body needs lots of oxygen for longer periods of exertion e.g. for long runs etc... Anaerobic fitness is where you need less oxygen but go for a short period e.g. short sprints (notice you still breathe normally after shuttle run?).
The minimum amount of time it takes for a typical human being to go from Anaerobic to Aerobic exertion is 8 minutes. 2.4 km was chosen since even the fastest runner usually takes around 9 minutes to complete that distance, safely over the 8 minute barrier.

always listen to your body and stop when unwell

dun push too hard especially first timer runner or come back after nong time.

moi gotch finish several marathon sho i know lor
