singaporean getting pawned by smrt coz must squeeze
ppl no q want squeeze coz rush for work
next train also need to squeeze and bo bao will get it
and this is coz freq of train not enough
freq of train not enough coz of safety issue and stress loading on rails
and this is coz of too many ppl taking train
too many ppl coz overcrowded
overcrowded coz too many FT (FW usually dont take train into town one)
too many FT coz open flood gates
flood gates can be open coz of policy makers
policy makers can anyhow coz of ppl who give them mandate
ppl who give them mandate are 60% sheeps
those sheeps are singaporeans

Well, I think the root of the problem on "People rushing in; People fighting to get out" is more serious now due to the train doors open and close less than a minute.

Just take a look at the airport check in and departure.

So, if let say the train door open for like 5 mins, I think the "ungracious" and "rushing" will be reduced. (But please keep the train coming in every 1 min)

Actually the Bishan queue doesn't work out that well either.

Although they have split the platforms, the space on the platform is still inadequate at peak hours. It is not uncommon to see queues reaching all the way across the platform, and people will have to squeeze through the queues when they are exiting the train, not to mention the benches right in front of some of the train doors. Also, the queues end up blocking people moving down the platform to a less crowded area - this is especially bad in between the escalators (Doors 9-16) as the depth of the platform is cut by half due to the escalators and lifts. Even with SMRT staff trying to move the people transferring from the circle line to the other end of the platform, it is of no use if people can't even move. Sometimes I just get fed up and go up and down the stairs to reach the other end of the platform.

Queueing works well if the platforms are big enough to handle the crowd. Unfortunately, this is not the case for most stations in Singapore, and the queues only serve to use the space on the platform inefficiently.

During peak hours, if you want to be a gentleman, you end up late for work. Not to mention being sniggered at.
Some more you caused those people queuing behind you to be late also

actually at tg pg got queueing de but the platform is too narrow and the train frequency too low so end up the 2 queues on opposite side always merge.

and then u got the pai kuan (noted usually is Ftrash) come in from the side or jitao worse just go in the middle.

THE Land Transport Authority (LTA) is planning to try out a new queueing scheme at selected MRT stations to smoothen the boarding and alighting process.

It has drawn inspiration from cities such as Taipei, where the Taipei Rapid Transit Corporation draws queue lines along station platforms to encourage commuters to line up and board trains in an orderly fashion.

At stations here, markings prompt commuters to stand clear of the doors, but things can get messy when the train doors open.

The LTA is also considering a scheme that would allow simultaneous boarding and alighting.
try hwat try?
smrt directors and ministars, u come take the mrt see for urself then u know hwat problems oready
no need to copy taiwan, hongkong, newyork....
