A native Android client is in the works, but in the meantime we have a web-app at RaydiusWeb that works on Android.

Color Scheme
----------------

• Firstly, the color scheme is very mundane. There is simply no scheme of colors on the application. I was attracted by the poster used on hardwarezone by the teal-blue and orange design scheme. Since the same colours are used on your Raydius logo, it should be used to keep your application consistent to the feel and liking of your logo and style.
• Your designer can try messing around your existing colour RGB at kuler and get the other tones which blends well with existing tones, kuler
• Too much white on orange and vice-versa, colour schemes should be re-visited with various mockups
• A good sample to several applications with good colour schemes pleasingly comfortable to the eyes are: Breeze (Standard Chartered Bank Singapore), The Good Life (Standard Chartered Bank Singapore), Waze, Facebook, Draw Something (Draw Free), OCBC Bank Singapore
• I'm not sure if your application is targeting the local market or international domain. Cultural localization is also important, might want to look into it. Too much orange on your applicatoin can very offensive to certain cultures. Besides why orange, when blue is the universal color that most cultures and people in the world do not find offensive.
• An example is Cocacola which builds its brand name on top of color red, red is considered dangerous or evil in chinese/middle east/qatar culture. But previously the company did not target its market to the other parts of the world.

Functions/Instructions Unclear,
-------------------------------------

• Since there are no instructions on the application, more image overlay can be done on your maps by overlaying (+/-) zoom-in and zoom-out controls and "where-am-i" control to help your users to navigate around easily. Your existing way of zooming into the map is confusing without instructions.
• QR what is it used for? Can i suggest looking at how the app "Line" work with QR code? Referencing what Line is actually doing, QR code is a subset function of 'Add Friends', this helps me understand easily that QR code function is meant to help me add/find friends easily.
• Google name bottom-left edge. Remove it if possible.
  

Application Slowness? Bugs?
-------------------------------------

• The orange man in the map goes missing often when i zoom in and out. Does it mean that the data is refreshing constantly? How about refreshing it only every 10 seconds or 30 seconds automatically? And give us users a button to do refresh ourselves when we want!
• And what are the numbers on top of each man?
• The sluggishness when i perform any action degrades the experience a user can get at the end of using this application. If you can fix the consistent refreshing on your application per action, perhaps this slowness can be reduced.

Unnecessary Function
-----------------------------------

• QR Code with Flash is totally unnecessary. Focus your effort on your core functions.

Application Title Missing?
--------------------------------------

• If you are intending to launch this app live as-is, consider adding a application title bar, or a thin-border line on top to create a visual-identity brand for your application.
• This is particularly one of the most important your new app should look at since it plays a significant role in the way your application presents itself to your users.

Suggestions for improvements

1. Upon launching the app, user is asked if he wants to turn on the location service. Upon selecting "NO", you should advice the user to turn it on. Without location service, Raydius is as good as useless.

2. A quick tour/demo for first time user will be useful to orientate them on how to maximise the usage of this app.

3. When creating a new topic, I am not allowed to change my location. Is there a reason why? Sometimes, the location detected is not accurate, so it's good to change.

4. There should be some incentives to encourage active participation. How about points systems whereby users can reward each other for giving good advice, or deduct user points for being a nuisance. This will also promote good behaviour. The points can be changed into e-vouchers or discount e-coupons etc.

My point of views/suggestions:

1. Users maybe unfamiliar with the usage of this application, so it would be best to recommend user to turn on for the location feature.

2. A brief tutorial would be useful for first-time user which demonstrates on how to use this application, maybe a 2-min introduction to the users.

3. It would be a bonus feature if this application allows user to turn on or off to check the weather condition so as to measure the traffic-flow condition, especially on the Expressway.

4. A reward system or membership program maybe introduced to this application-users so as users can redeem gifts or exchange for electrical appliances vouchers.

I can see from your sneak peak that you have combined List and Map together which is a good call. Map should be zoom into our location during initial display rather then zoom out like the current one with the entire Singapore map in view.

Enable double tap feature on topic/ or an option from the Raydius icon to show location on map. Since gps can sometimes be inaccurate, empower users the ability to change them if possible.

So far nothing much for us to do anything on the map except to see users around us. Let users have the ability to pin some favourite location (e.g 2km from home) and if any post comes out, drop a notification to them.

Ability to pick up myself and drop anywhere on the map with the ' I wanna go' feature so user can interact with people there.

Segregate the chat into sub section. i.e. Food, chit chat, POI. Scalability is another consideration, raydius might be the next big thing and might get flooded with too many topics.

Add friend function? Maybe even subscribe to a certain user's posting.

Well..in Facebook there's the 'like' feature, how about raydius? You guys might want to come out with something.... Maybe something locals can relate to? Some cute and interesting feature is a sure way to liven things up.

Do you guys have the age restriction pop-up prior the download of the app? If not, then please do add that in as well.

Welcome message while loading (e.g Do you know? feature) will be great for beginners Anouncement from the Raydius Team will be a nice addition too. Pop up help bubble message when hold on for 3 secs for each function.

The current edit profile seems buggy. I can't really change the username.
