A Republic of Singapore Navy's frigate, RSS Intrepid, will be sailing into VivoCity Promenade on 15 March 2013. And we are opening this frigate up to the public for an exhibition!

This is the very same ship which was recently deployed for counter-piracy operations in the Gulf of Aden, so it's an opportunity NOT TO BE MISSED!

For land-lubbers, you can find out more about the Navy at the exhibition ground at Level 1 of VivoCity (in front of Aoba Hokkaido Ramen). You also get the chance to see the weapons and gear used by the elite Naval Divers.

What's more, kids can also get a FREE picture taken in the Navy's smart whites or pixelated uniforms!

The ticket ballot for Navy@Vivo is now closed.

Lucky winners will receive their tickets via e-mail on 10 March 2013. Don't forget to print out your tickets and bring a valid photo ID for admission!

For those who did not manage to ballot or win any tickets, you can still get same-day tickets at the Navy exhibition booth in VivoCity, Level 1 on 15-17 March 2013. Tickets will be issued on a first-come-first-served basis and is subject to availability, so come early to avoid disappointment!

Visitors' Guide to Navy@Vivo

1. Visit to the frigate is STRICTLY by tickets only. Please bring along your ticket printout and a photo ID.
2. In the event of rain, we regret that the frigate may be closed for visits as the open decks will be slippery.
3. No sandals, slippers or any open-toed footwear. This is for the safety of all visitors. Ladies, NO heels please, as you may experience difficulties moving around the frigate.
4. Ladies are advised not to wear skirts or dresses.
5. Avoid bringing large bags and bulky items for a great time on the frigate! As security checks will be conducted, try to bring only essential items.
6. Do you have kids below 0.9m? Due to safety reasons, we regret that they'll not be allowed on the frigate as they may face difficulties with the steep staircases. Infants in arms and those with mobility problems will also not be allowed.
7. No food and drinks and smoking on board the frigate.
8. No pets allowed.

If I am not wrong got a bigger scale one in may at changi navel base. That one is all classes of ship
