moi may not know ministries well enough .. but thing is people worry tat if pap ministers get voted out then who r going to take care of our water .. education and so on? ... to think of it .. . even pap ministers r thrown around in musical chairs and r only ministers for tis and tat while 'on job training' ... the real people working to the ground and coming up with plans or solutions r the lower ones ... now if lui tuck yew actually knows a single crap about transports ..
no..it's that if the familee is out of the picture..
they are holding majority of SG's wealth in their hands..
our economy somehow depends on them...
just see how our gahmen funds have to go through --> temasek holdings for investments..
if lets say we kick familee out..
they can choose to let SG die as they have already siphoned out and earned gao gao using our money..

I honestly doubt I would ever see it in my lifetime (or even when I get the f out of here) as pessimistic and hopeless it sounds...cos with their current policies and the way the country is being run now...we are doomed to be always the 39.9%...

well moi see 60.1 and 39.9 but a rough gauge and they don't represent the true sentiment ... as a matter of fact there could be even more than just 39.9 just tat for many reasons people chose the other side ... circumstances influence the minds of people .. and the more pap oppress and the more they force it on their people .. . it's only aggravating the tension and force integration will only make it worst .. not to mention the internet control and sending their trolls will only make people angrier ..

the key to 2016's victory is the control of mainstream media.

the circulation still reaches the majority. although internet access has reached every household and workplace, people still go to mainstream media's portals, eg asiaone.com, channelnewsasia.com, straitstimes.com, today online, etc.

take the last saturday's ferrari incident for example, if you go the nearest coffeeshop ask the uncle auntie ah pek ah soh opinions, you will know what i mean.

IMO, it is not going to happen in the next GE or even the next 2 GEs. Here is what i feel is happening.

In the current system where the income gap disparity is growing, the richer people people will do everything to protect themselves from getting hurt. So they vote PAP. Most of the civil service and uniform force people are intimidated by the fact that they might be blacklisted in their careers if they vote opposition, so they will stick to MIWs.

With more new immigrants, now at around 800k i presume? With another 20-25k every year till next GE, this number will jump close to 1 million. They will all vote to PAP. Lots of advantage, they are treated as 1st class citizens, they can reap whatever they can reap and go back home to live like kings. The system implemented benefit them. Next is like invasion, like what our forefathers did, from China, all fled to Singapore. Invade this malay village town, gain power and stay. Is the same thing, they will keep coming, gain more power, and stay. I don't mean literal invasion, it seems like invasion for those who got their place taken over.

Next, richer people, who have the ability to make this place a better place with their wealth to do businesses in Singapore or promote local talent, will not believe this crap in general and choose to give up their citizenship and go elsewhere be a PRs. They have money. How many people are leaving already? To the extent government is spending money to ask people overseas to come back. I say, screw you, they ain't coming back no matter how much you throw in.

GE2011 was the closest fight we will ever get to see most probably. By then, many others who have the heart will most probably leave this place and go somewhere else. Leaving those not as capable Singaporeans to fend for ourselves. I am guessing Aljunied will be gone during next election as well with more locals gone and more new immigrants coming in.

In their eyes, we are just ants trying to struggle for something in this system and they know it ain't gonna happen. GRC system is a corrupted system by itself.

Save more money, and leave this place people. We can all sit back relax somewhere and see how this place fall.
