Cant agree more
A330 seriously need to be replaced. Sadly to certain destinations like Taipei and Guangzhou still A330 only.

Personally think A350 Biz class better than A380 or 747-300ER.

lastly direct flight better and you can have the wifi on air. can email chat surf net.

For Taipei, EVA Biz Class seats are very good as it uses B777. EVA services and safety are world class but the food and wine list can’t match SIA.

Thatís interesting that you prefer the older business class. I have yet sit on the new A380 business class but the old A380 Biz Class seats are worn out these days.
The older Biz Class is bigger, wider, though yes, some is a bit worn out. The new ones have awkward angles to accommodate more things/compartments.

if going to Zurich can try to take Swiss Air. Not bad and it is also direct.

Non-stop. The amount of hassle saved and potiential cockups avoided is huge.

I took non-stop flight to and fro Zurich, in cattle class some more. No big deal.

you are not an experienced business traveler yet

from Singapore, try to fly direct and on SQ if price is not an issue

1 less flight means 1 less option to screw up the trip. this is very important. especially if you have another connecting flight at zurich

If in Singapore, if your plane delay, SQ can easily find a replacement aircraft here and your maximum delay time would normally be only up to 3 hours.

Especially important if your company is those that won't give you extra time for R&R. Reach destination then straight to local office/client that type.

Also, SQ346 is normally a A380 flight. The older business class is more comfortable than the one they just introduced to Sydney
Potential for delays - that is something i didn't think about, especially bad weathers etc. Thanks for pointing out. I just don't feel comfortable sitting at a spot for 14 hours. Like what others said, walk around...

Iíll be on the A330 to Guangzhou in 2 weeks.

Will be my first time experiencing business on SIA
for first time then ok.
if you compare vs A350/A380 etc than its suck.
still, 4 hour flight nia, ok lah.
worse is the lounge at Bai Yun, always packed and nothing much to eat.
