Hi all. For escort team, is it only available to aetos & cisco? For aetos, can we opt to join escort team after completing the training or its only for the management to choose who to go?

Just saw an expired ad that AETOS had a direct intake for outriders. Anyone know if it is still available?

Are you referring to the ad in ST for APO, then underneath they say outriders can apply too?

I messaged the contact, they didn't even know what i was talking about. i sent a screenshot, then after a while they returned my text and told me that is under APO. Have to go through the same training. I think best is to meet the recruiter in person and clarify and before signing anything, make sure that after training confirm will be posted to outrider. Later kena normal APO than llst.

The thing that holding me back… in my late 30s and completed NS and reservist, the idea of repeating this 2 month stay-in and possibly tekan sessions is frightening. I know some will say it’s only 2 months, endure. But i’m just wondering if the training is actually pleasant or machiam like BMT/SISPEC style. confirm much relax than saf. they won't tekan u much.

Thanks bro cz287cj for your reply! Very helpful to know that training is not so ON like during NSF days.

Btw, anyone know where does SATS conduct their training? Do they outsource to certis/aetos or do they have their own program? Saw an advert and their requirement is for sgp only with higher pay.

all apo {other than aetos) training is done at certis academy. it seem that sats benefits are much better than cisco

aetos has long working hours. heard they can work up to 16 hours daily. airport terminal 4 will be guarded by aetos. sure they need a lot of apo to take over from cisco, those who join now may go to airport instead.

Is there any 13 mths or performance bonus for cisco, aetos or Sats?

I am working in AETOS as a trainer, full time.

if you clock 240hrs per month you get $2,550, if 260hrs and with ns experience is $3,000. If you clock more than that, we consider over time, so you will entitle for over time pay.

I went for Certis Cisco Interview for Auxiliary Police Officer (Armed - Sergeant) on 11 January 2018. Medical Checkup was conducted on the same day too at Raffles Medical (Terminal 4).

After 3 weeks, I got the results and being accepted today, 5th February 2018. Training at Academy and Contract Signing will start on the week after CNY. Pay is relatively good for APO Sergeant (Diploma) and most probably deployed to Changi Airport. OT pay is quite high too.

Highly recommended to sound out your ideal/preferred deployment. They will note down and bring it up to the administration. I'm staying in the west but I opt out for deployment in Changi Airport after training. Heard that they prefer Singaporeans to be deployed there cause of upcoming infrastructures/facilities, easily get OT pay too in a better environment than the HQs.

Thx for the reply.
I went to AETOS for the interview juz now b4 11am and they do have direct intake for unarmed outriders. After the interview, I went straight to their authorized clinic to do a simple medical check up. Now at clementi polyclinic waiting to do chest X-ray.
As informed, security clearance takes up to 3-4weeks b4 i can know if i'm selected. No ippt & firearms training required. 8 weeks in-camp training, book out on friday & book in on sunday evening. Allowance less than half of the salary during training. Bond for 1 year after completion of training.

Congrats! Are you diploma holder or do you have any higher qualifications too? Any reason why you chose to go with Certis instead of Aetos?

The aetos recruiter i spoke to was only able to offer me CPL rank. I wonder if it's aetos policy to not go over corporal rank for new hires.

Wow 16 hours... so at the end of his 12 hour shift, they ask him to extend for 4 more OT? Any break before commencing that next 4 hour slot of carry on immediately?

I am a diploma holder only. I heard AETOS working hours are crazier than CISCO. I also happened to have a few friends in CISCO as sergeants. Being a sergeant in CISCO does not only constitute of diploma, I guess they look at some of your previous milestones like army vocation and employment history.

As for AETOS sergeant, I am not sure of its system. However, I do know some of my friends are corporals. Hope this helps.

Aetos and cisco which agency is better for joining as a diploma holder?

CISCO, I have asked around since I'm a diploma holder too. I'm 27 btw, so kinda have some employment background besides just applying with a diploma. Also, I was a Security Trooper during NS days, which contributed to some relevant experience as an APO.
