Many may not understand why Jose thought so highly of Sanchez that he would make Woodward comes out so much monies to get him.
What Jose saw of Sanchez is a player that is not only excellent with the ball and strong in possession ( not easy to knock him down ) but a player with hell of a fighting spirit. A player that will fight 90 minutes and would immediately fight back to win back the ball if he loses it.
This is the spirit that he wants with his players to win back possessions whenever the ball is in the opponent’s feet.
Unfortunately Mhiki is the reverse and loses the ball too easily and did not fight back to win back the ball. That is the reason why Jose is so willing to let such a talent goes to Arsenal. Players and coaches these days studied well into the videos to know how to counter or negate the opponent’s key players and I think most had Mhiki in their pocket.
As for a player like Sanchez, the only way to negate this type of players is to lame them. But this will come with a price.
