Italy will do well in terms of possession but Germany isn't a team that needs possession to win. Their counter-attacks are one of the best (if not the best) in the world.
Germany has its flaws as well. The inconsistency of Schweinsteiger and loss of Boateng may hurt them.

Germany can be a sloppy with possession at times. Just look at the goal that greece scored. Sloppy pass got intercepted.

Germany has 5 days of rest while Italy only have 3 days. A small factor.
I think Germany should win here, it's their time. |

I think germany will nick this tie. Italy are v discipline in their backline but they dont have a world class centre forward to finish it off

I hope the Germans win. But this game will be closer as the odds suggested. Italy has a very good record against Germany in KO games. Pirlo to me has been the player of the tournament. Look forward to a fascinating game.
