Leisurely! Though I cannot imagine what can occupy anyone for 4 days in Copenhagen. I suppose you can really take your time and smell the roses. Perhaps if you going by rail or road, you can stop somewhere after Berlin for a night or so.

Yeah, I was thinking to go malmo for one day tour or swap it for amsterdam for a side trip

Food wise for Amsterdam, you can try Humphreys, Omelegg (I love the eggs here). For a more unique experience, can try Daalder. They have 3/4/5/6/7 course dinner. Just tell them what you don't eat, and be prepared for a pleasant surprise.

Berlin Sights:
Brandenburg Gate
Holocaust Memorial (beware of people asking you to donate)
Reichstag Building (free - book in advance! the views from the rooftop is beautiful https://visite.bundestag.de/BAPWeb/pages/createBookingRequest.jsf?lang=en)
Checkpoint Charlie
East Side Gallery (Berlin Wall + Street art)
Take a walk along the Spree river at night

for berlin, u can visit museum island if u are into museums. even if u are not planning to go any museums, it is still nice to take a look at the architectures ard there. berliner dome is especially beautiful.
Charlottenburg Palace is quite nice also. can take a look.

my trip report for germany for reference:
http://forums.hardwarezone.com.sg/europe-277/[trip-report]-germany-6-22-dec-2012-a-4060009.html

amsterdam i think 1-2 days is enuf to cover the main attractions. u can make side trips out of the city for the other days. for example, can visit Zaanse Schans for windmill (Kinderdijk is better, but a bit far away from amsterdam). if it is tulip season, can go Keukenhof and the tulip fields ard the area.

I am planning to take plane from Amsterdam to Berlin so I can touch down earlier and there is nothing much to see for the long journey.

As for Berlin to Copenhagen, I intend to take train because of below.

7/4 - Amsterdam, side trip Zaanse Schans, Volendam + cycle ?
8/4 - Amsterdam, side trip Full day at Bruges, Brussels (3 hours train one-way)
9/4 - Amsterdam, side trip to Delft
10/4 - Berlin (afternoon touch down Berlin , stay in hotel)
11/4 - Berlin
12/4 - Berlin
13/4 - Berlin ( Dresden)
14/4- Berlin
15/4- Copenhagen (Train ride, should be reaching copenhagen mid-afternoon)

Good idea with Bruges. You can also consider cities along the German coast formerly of the Hanseatic Leagues or Hamburg, which is between Berlin and Copenhagen.
