Got a few grumbles...
The call volume is also very low even at full volume. Same for music listening. Any Solutions?

And the bluetooth in dell steak doesn't detect my bluetooth adapter...dun kow why...

Hi ppl, I am wondering if it is too big for a phone. Ie will it be very troublesome when you use it to make a quick call? It seems that 4.3' is probably the furtherest you can stretch the screen

In general, no. Sometimes, when I want to click on a "mark as favorites" star sign, I have to click 3 or 4 times before it lights up. Transferring icons from one home page to another is also not so easy and sometimes the app opens up instead of moving to the next page, and sometimes when i want to type i, the o shows up instead etc.

iphone in contrast, is much better. but if you want to do a lot of typing, nothing beats good ol blackberry. i've used all 3 before, so all these from personal experience...

For me it's ok. but i let some ladies try, they find it hard. think 5" is max for me to comfortably use as a phone and put in my pocket, but if you are a lady, then iphone would be better in terms of size.

Can your phone be detected by the PC ? Do not assume it is. Check this by :

Put your Streak into Fastboot mode by powering on while holding the camera button. It will show a screen that says ‘Touch Calibration’ and ‘Fastboot’. Tap Fastboot. You will now see ‘Wait for USB FastBoot detect….’. Connect your phone to computer using the USB cable. The screen should display ‘FASTBOOT_MODE’.

If the phone screen is stuck at ” Wait for fastboot…” : then try this – On computer, Go to Device Manager. You should see an errored item called Android 1.0. Right click Android 1.0, select Update Driver Software, select Browse my computer, select Let me pick, select All Hardware, scroll down to Android Phone , select Android Bootloader and click OK.

If above fail then you need to reinstall drivers:

Download the correct drivers

Windows drivers from here: ( or google for the exe file )

Dell Mobile sync software if you need it for syncing :

Cable is 39 from singapore but 26 pounds from uk. Shipping another few bucks. The silicon casing and screen quite cheap from overseas (less than 20 sgd I think) so I didn't bother to check out the singapore shop price.
