Are there any portable gaming laptop?

Hi, I am planning to get a gaming laptop for playing at home and also portable enough for me to bring my work outside for productivity. My main concern is mobility & battery life (while not gaming)

Screen size (10-13 inch) : screen size does not matter because this laptop will be hook up to my TV & external keyboard/mouse most of the time. In fact, a smaller screen is even better for mobility

Battery : at least 6 hrs while not gaming

Average spec : I don’t mind playing games using low-mid settings.

Budget : $1k to $1.8k

What choices do I have?
So far, I only know that alienware m11x suits my need. Are there other alternatives for comparison? Thank you

Better grab the m11x fast. Dell has already announced that the m11x will be phased out.

oh dear, bad news, i just realize that they have decided to discontinue 11 inch alienware. looks like 2-3 years down the road, i'll have a hard time choosing a portable gaming laptop again.

i dun like 14+ inch gaming laptop because i cannot bring them outside easily (heavy weight & no car) and the battery cannot last long (for non-gaming task)

not to be anti apple, but I believe mbp 13 doesn't even have graphic card while 15 while being slick, thin and pretty powerful, is heavier and more expensive compared to likes of Vaio se or new hp dv6

yeah, macbook also lack of many games. unless the developer put in the extra effort to publish for both platform.

thanks for recommending Sager NP6110. i have read through the Lounges as well as the review from HTWingNut.

i found 3 main websites from the Lounges
illeGear - Home
Home
CubeHub - Gaming Laptop Specialist Home page

the ppl discussing in the lounge seems to have difficulties with sgcubehub and mucro.asia so illegear seems like the preferred choice but illegear is from malaysia so im quite concern with the after-sales support too

and the review of HTWingNut shows that the battery life is very weak. even for idle / basic word task in power-saving mode, the battery went flat after 4 hours

aftersales should be same. they are all reseller only. so anything will send back to sager.
I think last time sgcube have local service center, but closed down already.

Im also considering sager last time, but at the end go with MSI for local support. Kind of glad I did that coz HDD fail after 9month. look like HDD is the weakest component nowadays.

regarding battery, small size laptop of course will have small size battery. to make things worse, i believe GTX range card can not implement optimus technology properly. Thats why they will consume more power (compared to one with optimus). Must ask yourself if GTX horse power is more important than battery life.

MSI might be coming out with a gaming ultrabook. Not official yet. But have some rumours on this....

Something like 14" with SSD GT650 graphics 1.6kg.
