pardon my noobness, but how do yo proceed after you used putty to connect via SSH. I get this and Im stuck here.

"BusyBox v1.11.2 (2010-05-11 19:23:39 CST) built-in shell (ash)
Enter 'help' for a list of built-in commands."

Typing 'help' does not show anything.

Relax lah, just trying to figure your message mah.

Don't have issue when I setup SSH access but find that it's way too slow, now using both telnet with login and dropbear SSH.

Anyway, that user (kraze) did mentioned that the problem is solved.

There should be log even if it crashed. Most likely due to permission settings, check that nobody is the owner of .transmission-daemon folder.

Hi there,

Did anyone manage to get it running seamlessly with Time Machine?

I tried following the instructions on the manual and it keeps giving the error "backup image could not be created (error 1)".

Can anyone shed some light on this?

Fixed. Issue resolved.

LOL, the so-called v2.00 is the same one (v2.00b6) released by Europe site. Anyway, the followings are changes:

Enhancement:
- Change to new GUI
- Supports WebDAV, ISO Mount, Remote Backup, Web File Server, SMS Notification, Link Speed Settings, IP Blocking, Syslog Client

Problem Resolved:
[Bug Fix] Web File Server : Failed to work when uploaded folder and downloaded file including spaces.
[Bug Fix] Web File Server : Unauthorized user is not allowed to access any volume
[Bug Fix] P2P : Disable DHT when no torrent exists.
[Bug Fix] P2P : P2P seeding function is broken.
[Bug Fix] P2P : Only reload Samba service when changing P2P Torrent Save Path setting.
[Bug Fix] HTTP port redirection issue
[Bug Fix] Time Machine failed to work with one volume
[Bug Fix] AjaXplorer : If entered http://DUT IP/ajaxplorer, it will login as last user
GUI: Change “Email Alerts” to “Notifications”

FYI, WebDAV did not made into 2.00 release. Source: http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=37320.0

Thanks for the help earlier. yeah I managed to fix it. transmission is working, just trying to figure out how to optimise access via a mac now. seems rather slow. PC is ok.

i'm using the samsung f4 2tb. only spins up on one side. looks like the samsung HD power draw is too high. the other side needs to have the HD horizontal for it to spin up (the dns320 has the HD installed vertially)

anyway got the transmission to work. ended up installing optware to figure out and install the package dependencies

Samsung F4 worked fine on this NAS, only quirk I encountered is during initial formatting process as I used a different HDD with small capacity for the right-slot. The solution was to remove the right HDD and re-insert after formatting is done.

IIRC, there is issue with WD 2TB drive, try searching in this forum or D-link one.
