Wow thats cheap! Hope the 1070 Ti pushes down the price of the regular 1070s when I want to upgrade in the future.

I know what you mean. The good thermal and acoustic performance of msi gaming x can only happen if msi use this design?
Not quite...1070 has maintain its pricing when it just came out. Buyers of 1070 is not getting as big hit as 1080. I bought 1070 around Nov last yr and it's pricing has hardly changed.
My friend bought asus strix 1080 o8g at $1200+ last December and although this card pricing is still there but we all know you have to lose a lot to get rid of it.
I'm thinking of getting a 1070 myself.
Upgrading from 970 (practically 1050), hopefully it's not a bad decision.

This thread is for the 1070 Ti, not the 1070 though
maybe they saying they prefer 1070 than 1070ti?
To be fair to shadey, the way they say it is like long ago upgrade to 1070 and happy.
No link to 1070 Ti, right.

Doubt so.
The feedback to them has been donkey mths long.
But as with them, traditionally, to have a new design, will probably have to wait for a new iteration/series transition.
