I actually already own one too, hoping to find something else to pair with it for dual screen.

Asus MX239H seems really nice, thanks for that recommendation! But it gives me a feeling I'm overpaying for the B&O speakers which I will never be using. Still undecided ... by default I may just end up with another U2414H, hope I can get a couple of suggestions more to consider before pulling the trigger ...

u2414h appears to be a newer model, not sure of exact differences. u2414h is around $359 in most of the popular shops around SLS, may be able to go even lower if you dig harder.

But seems 2412m is more expensive.

The U2414H apparently have a limited range output of 16-235 while running NVIDIA graphics.

Any alternative to pair with a MacBook Pro running on NVIDIA GT 750m?

I prefer an IPS panel. HDMI, mDP or Displayport connectivity, and the ability to pivot/rotate to portrait.
I'm also running a late 2013 15" rMBP and got my U2414H today. Had my doubts about the panel too but everything seems alright so far using miniDP to DP cable included. No wake from sleep or RGB issues.

Not bad for the price, but definitely not as vibrant as my Asus PB278Q or the 27" iMac even after my own color calibration. Was a bit reddish/yellowish out of box.

borrow thread, my u2414h will take 5mins to go idle after i shutdown my PC, is there anyway to make it go idle immediately? as i usually uses a controller to shutdown my PC, and the monitor stays on for another 5mins
