The Dell one of course. Coz it can pivot and its colour gamut is very accurate. The Asus one is more for gaming usage while the Dell one is more for photo/video editing.

Nid hdmi port? Asus
Nid ergonomic options? Dell
Dell is an all rounder. Both are good monitors so either one is a good buy. Dell exchange service very good. Next working day will get replacement set.

If I'm not mistaken, there is no real need for hdmi (for pc monitors), unless you would like audio out from the puny monitor-speakers, or you are connecting gaming consoles although I'd rather use the optical audio output instead.
DVI can do the job equally well (except the audio part), since it also supports HDCP protocol for playing blu-ray discs.

Any existing users of this Asus monitor can comment how good is it for watching movies, whether DVD or Blu-ray? Tks.
